Responsibilities include: planning and preparing healthy meals for the children, running occasional errands, and coordinating activities and playdates – especially with nearby relatives who have similarly aged children. The Nanny should also be comfortable helping with packing, unpacking, and maintaining calm routines during frequent domestic and international travel. Formal training in infant care and child development is strongly preferred. The nanny should enjoy being outdoors and be comfortable with swimming, hiking and cycling The role also includes occasional supervision of extended family members children, so comfort juggling a larger group is essential. A valid driver’s license (driving is a must – picking the children up from school, driving them to after-school activites, etc.) and a US Passport are required. CPR/First Aid certification is also required. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday, generally from 7:00 AM-10:00 AM and 1:00 PM-8:00 PM, with flexibility to stay later or assist on weekends as needed.
