Position: Full Time, Laundress, Live In Summers, Live Out, Organizer
Location: Hamptons, Long Island, Nassau County, New York

A family of six, with homes in Locust Valley and East Hampton, needs to hire a highly experienced and meticulous Laundress/ Organizer to join their team. This is a specialized role for a true professional laundress with extensive knowledge of garment care, fabric treatment, proper washing and drying temperatures, stain removal, ironing, steaming, pressing, folding, hanging, and the appropriate storage of delicate and high-end items. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of the family’s laundry and wardrobe care, including everyday clothing, fine garments, delicate fabrics, linens, bedding, and other specialty items. Additional responsibilities include: maintaining the organization of closets, drawers, wardrobes, and other clothing and storage areas, ensuring that all items are properly folded or hung, rotating seasonal wardrobes, monitoring garments for stains, damage, or needed repairs, coordinating dry cleaning or specialty care when appropriate and keeping all laundry and wardrobe areas clean, orderly, and well stocked. Candidates who reside on Long Island and have a manageable commute to Locust Valley are strongly preferred. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, typically beginning at 9 a.m., with occasional Saturdays as needed. The family will guarantee a full-time, 40-hour workweek, although some lighter weeks may require fewer hours, while busier periods may approach the full 40 hours. Salary range: $45–50/hr.
