A family of six, on the Upper West Side, needs to hire an experienced and organized Weekend Nanny to care primarily for their three school-aged children (the older child attends boarding school and is home only occasionally). Responsibilities include: safely driving the children to sports practices, games, and activities, preparing simple weekend meals, supervising playdates and keeping the children’s schedules running smoothly, caring for the family dog with feeding and walks and assisting with light household duties including children’s laundry, making beds, tidying bedrooms, cleaning the kitchen after meals, and taking out the garbage. A valid driver’s license is required. The ideal candidate is flexible, proactive, an excellent time manager, and enjoys helping a busy household stay organized. The family divides their weekends between their homes in Manhattan and Bedford, NY, and the Nanny should be comfortable working at both locations. Transportation will be provided either through the use of a family vehicle or via Metro-North. The schedule is every Saturday and Sunday, beginning at 7:00 AM on Saturday through approximately 7:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, with an overnight stay on Saturday required approximately twice per month. The family is open to offering more hours during the week for the right person. Salary: $500 per day for a 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shift, and $100 extra  for overnight shifts. Immediate start!

Responsibilities include: detailed housekeeping and daily upkeep, family laundry, household organization, simple meal preparation, and walking and feeding the family dog., household errands as time allows, serve as a friendly and responsible adult presence in the home for the family’s school-aged daughter in the afternoons, and should be comfortable jumping in as an extra pair of hands wherever needed to help keep the household running smoothly. They may occasionally assist with a school or activity pickup or other light child-related support as needed. The family is currently in the process of renovating their primary home and will be staying in a temporary apartment within the same neighborhood during the renovation, so some flexibility throughout the transition will be appreciated. They expect to return to their primary residence in January 2027. The schedule guarantees 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from approximately 4 to 8pm. Salary $45/hour. Mid-September start.

Primary responsibilities include: maintaining the family’s home through deep cleaning and daily upkeep, family laundry, maintaining overall household organization, as well as organization for storage spaces (closets, drawers, pantry, fridge, etc.), packing/ unpacking for travel, household errands & shopping (including on-line ordering), overseeing deliveries, assisting with pet care for the family’s dog, and tag-teaming with parents and additional staff on simple cooking (especially for the children).  This is not primarily a childcare role, though occasional backup coverage is needed for sick days, days off from school, or overnight when parents travel. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 11am to 7pm, for a guaranteed 40-hour workweek. Flexibility is required for occasional weekend coverage, overnight care when the parents travel, and accompanying the family on occasional trips. Salary range: $30-45/hr. Responsibilities  include: deep-cleaning, sanitizing all surfaces in the bathrooms, cleaning the coffee machine, changing and washing sheets/pillow cases, doing the laundry, ironing and pressing pants, drop-off/pick-up shirts at the dry cleaner, maintain patio cleanliness, gently dust frames and artwork, wipe/polish all high touch areas (cabinets handles, door knobs, stair banisters, etc) and taking out the trash and managing the recycling. The ideal candidate is developmentally knowledgeable and experienced with caring for multiple children, including infants. the family already employs another nanny who will primarily focus on the newborn during the day, this role will focus on the older children, providing extra support to the family and contributing to a collaborative and harmonious household. Responsibilities include:  planning and preparing healthy meals for the children, running occasional errands, and coordinating activities and playdates – especially with nearby relatives who have similarly aged children. The Nanny should also be comfortable helping with packing, unpacking, and maintaining calm routines during frequent domestic and international travel. Formal training in infant care and child development is strongly preferred.
