All you need to know about Babynurses and Newborn Specialists Powered by Pavillion Agency’s Babynurse division!!
A Babynurse is a newborn specialist. Babynurses have a deep understanding of the developmental stages of newborns. Most have taken courses to stay current with the latest newborn philosophies and standards.
Babynurses will take special care of your newborn. They will help teach you how to care for your newborn, including bathing techniques, feeding, diapering, dressing, how to do the baby’s laundry and the maintenance of your baby’s room. They will help to get the baby on a schedule, which will also help the parent’s sleeping pattern once the Babynurse leaves.
Babynurses base their rate on 22 hour days. Their average daily rate is usually between:
- $450.00-$650.00 for Singleton
- $600.00-$750.00 for Twins
- $700.00-$900.00 for Triplets
The length of a Babynurse stay is usually between 1 and 6 months, but is determined by the needs of the family. Since you will be spending many hours with your Babynurse, phone interviews and personal interviews are encouraged. This will allow you the opportunity to confirm that their skills and personality are the best fit for you and your family. Some families wish to have their Babynurse meet with the mother’s OB/GYN or the prospective pediatrician. Often the grandparents are involved in the interview process as well.
Babynurses are available to accompany the family to the hospital or to welcome the family home upon their return. The time you spend with the Babynurse should be pleasant and gratifying. Click here to request information and begin the process of finding the perfect Babynurse.
