Childcare-related duties include: school drop off and pick up, working with the housekeeper to maintain the children’s rooms & their laundry, bed and bath routine, bottle feeding, sterilizing toys & bottles, diapering, as well as planning & executing educational, social, and cultural activities. The family is searching for a professional who can partner with the parents to instill their views and achieve their developmental goals. Cooking responsibilities include: family meals, as well as snacks for children, occasionally entertaining guests, and working with parents to develop weekly menus. While someone with private chef experience and/ or a culinary degree would be a huge plus, the family is very happy to hire someone who is a competent family cook, who has the ability to follow recipes and handle kitchen basics and cooking typical staples (roast chicken, steamed vegies, grilled fish, etc.). Education is a plus. Family prefers applicants within an easy commute to their home- must have your own reliable vehicle to get there. Schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:45/7am to 3:45/4pm with flexibility to provide additional coverage, stay over, and occasionally travel with the family. The family’s ideal applicant will be experienced (or familiar) with Montessori philosophy. Nanny will be responsible for planning activities (including researching & booking local classes), engaging in age-appropriate play, monitoring milestones, diapering, bathing, bottle-feeding, sterilizing bottles & toys, maintaining sleep & feeding schedules, and traveling with the family, primarily between their main residences in South Florida and Los Angeles, CA. Other regular annual travel includes 3-6 weeks of the summer in Europe and end of year holiday ski vacations among others. They also have a home in NYC and hope to spend more time there throughout the year as well. Applicants must have experience caring for children of a similar age and helping them transition through their developmental stages as they age. Applicants should also have a minimum of 5 years’ experience, must swim, drive, and have a valid passport. The family also requires that CDC vaccines other than Covid (as optional) be up to date. This is a fully staffed home and the Nanny must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with others, and take direction or work independently, when appropriate. There is a small dog in the home, though no care is required. Main residence is in Florida and when there, family is happy to provide accommodations for applicants who need, though accommodations will be provided at all additional residences. The standardized schedule is two weeks on/ two weeks off, typically working 10-12+ hours a day. Salary range: 130-180K depending on experience, fully paid employee medical, dental and vision benefits, and a 401K option with match and vesting schedule.
