A family of six, in Bridgehampton, needs to hire a temporary Summer Chef from June 27th through September 2. (The family will be away from August 5- August 15th). The family subscribes to a traditionally lean and balanced diet (think Mediterranean) with some kid-friendly twists for their four, elementary age, children. The majority of meals will be family style dinners with occasional lunches, and doing some light prep on easy items (i.e. fresh juices, overnight oats, salads, wraps, etc.) that the family can serve themselves. They don’t expect formal table service and only entertain occasionally- always hiring additional support for larger functions. Chef will be responsible for kitchen upkeep and shopping and should be familiar with the area and able to visit the local markets and farmer’s stands for fresh, in season, ingredients. Lunches are usually around 1pm with most dinners happening at 5:30/6pm for the whole family. Family is open to local live out candidates but can also offer a private one-bedroom apartment for accommodations if the Chef lives too far to commute. The ideal schedule is Wednesday or Thursday through Sunday. Salary: $700/day. June start.

The role sits within a three-person assistant team and reports to the Senior Executive Personal Assistant (SEPA), contributing to a function where accuracy and reliability are non-negotiable.
