Responsibilities include: preparing and sanitizing bottles, diaper changing, monitoring food intake and tracking developmental milestones, engaging the child in age appropriate reading and sensory activities, collaborating with hands-on parents to create a safe and cohesive home environment, child related laundry and cleaning, keeping common areas tidy, maintaining established household organization systems and routines for naptime and feeding, transitioning to solids when appropriate, preparing healthy snack and purees etc., occasional meal prep for the older children and assisting parents with the children’s bedtime routine. The Nanny’s primary focus will be on the infant, though the flexibility and comfort assisting with the older children when they are out of school is important. Parents usually handle school pick-up/drop off nearby, but may need Nanny to fill in on occasion. Candidates must have strong communication skills, be comfortable with parents sometimes working from home, be experienced caring for multiple children in tandem and demonstrate sound judgment regarding safety etc. The Nanny should be able to engage the older children in creative activities and read to all children. The typical schedule will start as Monday to Friday from 12pm to 8pm with flexibility for occasional later nights/earlier mornings and/or weekend assistance, if needed. This can be either a live-out role or live-in for the right candidate, with live-in required during summers spent at the family’s secondary home in the Hudson Valley. Responsibilities include: supporting developmental milestones, school readiness, and potty training, planning engaging, educational and age-appropriate activities and outings, managing the children’s daily schedules and routines – including school preparation, drop-offs/pickups, meals, naps, and extracurricular activities, running household and family errands (including grocery shopping, assisting with meal preparation (ideally the candidate will be a confident family cook), assisting with child-related events such as birthday parties, maintaining awareness of the children’s medical and allergy-related needs and traveling with the family both on vacations and to their upstate home. The family is seeking someone engaging, proactive, and developmentally savvy who ideally holds a college degree in a childcare-related field. Candidates should be strong swimmers, hold a valid passport and be up to date on vaccinations. Classroom experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred, though not required. The family will guarantee a 40-hour workweek, typically Monday through Friday from 11am–7pm, with flexibility. Ideally, they would love someone who can also assist with morning routines from approximately 7/7:30am–9am once the children begin school in January 2027. A single lady, on the North Shore of Long Island, needs to hire a Caregiver/Companion. Responsibilities include: experience with the medical needs and issues associated with elder care, monitoring basic vitals, i.e. temperature, blood pressure and oxygen levels and recognize obvious problems associated with the elderly, light cooking and service, keeping the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom clean and orderly and assistance with showering, bathing and dressing. All candidate must have a valid driver’s license and their own car to be able to commute to work. This person will be one of three caregivers. Schedule: Each Caregiver works several consecutive 24 hour shifts. The time is split equally between the three caregivers. The actual schedules may vary a little from month-to-month depending on individual needs of the caregivers. When one caregiver is not available on a given day for a personal reason, e.g. vacation, it is expected one of the other caregivers will cover for her. The actual days each month are not in accordance with a set schedule so there will be some flexibility involved. Salary: $500 per 12 hour shift. Immediate start.
