A family of three, soon to be four, in Chelsea, needs to hire an experienced and developmentally knowledgeable Nanny. Responsibilities include:  preparing healthy meals and snacks, diaper changing, maintaining the child’s clothes and supplies while ensuring the nursery remains clean and organized. The nanny will also engage the children in age-appropriate games and activities, and accompany them to classes, educational outings, and cultural events. As the family grows, the nanny will transition from working alongside a baby nurse to providing care for two children toward the end of the year. The family expects the Nanny to work two days from 12 PM to 6 PM, and three days from 8 AM to 6 PM, but flexibility with schedule is needed. A guaranteed 40-hour workweek will be provided, with potential for overtime as needed throughout the year. Salary range: $37 to $40 per hour plus a health insurance stipend. Immediate start.

A family in Morristown, NJ, needs to hire an experienced full-time Nanny/ Family Assistant to contribute to caring for their three youngest children (all early elementary and elementary age). While two older children are in the home, the family has a strong childcare team, and this role focuses on the youngest. Responsibilities include: getting them ready for school & afternoon activities, school drop-off & pick-up, packing backpacks & keeping track of sports equipment, engaging in fun, age-appropriate play, preparing simple & healthy meals for children, children’s laundry & ironing, running errands, pet care, household organization, evening routines, light household help and traveling with the family on vacation and to their second home in the summer. All candidates must work well with as a team with the other staff in a busy home. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, typically working 45-50 hours a week between approximately 7am and 7pm.  Children are in full-time school, so the job may include family assistant tasks during school days and as children age. The right person will have at least two years of experience caring for multiple children of a similar age range. Applicants must be very flexible to work holidays and occasional late nights, and even if they live out, to live in when parents are away and during busy times.   The family would prefer nannies from the tri-state area who can go home on days off, even if they live in. Summers are spent on Long Island and will require living in when working. The role involves caring for school-aged children, managing household tasks and  assisting with family logistics. Both parents work so the individual must be a self-starter. The ideal candidate will be flexible with working hours, willing to stay overnight when needed, and able to travel with the family. A strong communicator, driver, and swimmer is required. Must be comfortable driving in Manhattan and suburbs. Individuals who apply must be extremely organized. College education is a plus. Responsibilities include: setting and service, wine presentation, guest reception, and floral arrangements, maintaining inventories of silverware, China and linens and will assist in turndown and valet services. A busy executive, in Manhattan, needs to hire an experienced and professional Chauffeur to transport him and his business associates to various appointments throughout the city. The ideal candidate should be a well-mannered and presentable individual with excellent knowledge of Manhattan and strong communication and computer skills. Should be able to follow directions well and run errands as needed. The schedule is 40 hours a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and one weekend day). Salary: 90k + depending on experience with health insurance. Immediate start.

A couple, on the Upper East Side, need to hire an experienced and considerate Housekeeper/Companion who can start as a housekeeper and evolve into taking additional responsibilities as the needs of couple change. Responsibilities include: meticulous housekeeping and laundry,  errands and household shopping and preparing simple meals to heat up later. Schedule is usually 9-5 but requiring flexibility. The role requires heavy coordination with the family’s chef and other staff members including an additional server, as well as interior and property managers. Responsibilities include: ensuring proper table setting and plate presentation as directed, setting and keeping tables clean and presentable at all times, décor, full table service (food & beverage), polishing silverware, care for crystal, maintaining china, partnering with the chef, managing & maintaining inventory throughout the kitchen, dining areas & storage (e.g. wine cellar), anticipating the needs of the family and guests, responding urgently and appropriately to concerns and requests, offering bartending service (when needed), and any special tasks that may come up. All candidates must have excellent knowledge of formal fine dining etiquette and service standards, as well as comprehensive knowledge of food, wine, and liquor pairings. The Server will be responsible for providing high-level service between two private residences and while based in Southampton, NY., may require some support at the family’s Manhattan home. During the off season, the typical schedule will be a guaranteed 40 hours, from 8 or 9am to 5 or 6pm; however, during the season (summertime) they must have full flexibility to work a much heavier schedule, including weekends. Salary range: $45-50/hr. with benefits. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, expertise in both cleaning and laundry, and the ability to follow specific instructions to ensure the home is maintained to the highest standards.
