    • Mr. Popper’s Penguins: Created for family audiences, this book adaption has catchy songs and plenty of puppet penguins. This musical has been called “terrific fun,” “heartwarming,” and “hits all the right child-friendly notes.” Playing until October 30th, 2016 at the New Victory Theater, don’t miss your chance!
    • Hansel and Gretel’s Halloween Adventure: Join Hansel and Gretel as they embark on an adventure where mermaids, monsters, and pirates collide for one unforgettable Halloween night in New York City. Bonus: Central Park and the Belvedere Castle serve as the backdrop.
    • One More Bite: A Family Food Affair: A healthy, delicious, family-friendly festival is taking place on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 in Gowanus. One More Bite offers children the chance to learn about the food system, sample new flavors, and participate in interactive activities. Parents will have the opportunity to drop-in and hear three great talks from nutritionists on healthy mealtime inspiration and how to deal with picky eaters.
    • I Approve this Message: Open until December 31st, 2016, this exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan allows children the chance to learn more about the electoral process, cast a vote in a faux voting booth, participate in presidential-related scavenger hunts, and even create a presidential seal.
    • Explore Great Art: Van Gogh’s Starry Night: At Lulu’s Play Scape, children can discover great artists and movement through hands-on, practical experience. Instructors will teach children how to appreciate art with a focus on creativity and fun.
    • New York Transit Museum Train Operators Workshop: At the New York Transit Museum, children can take control of a NYC Subway car and operate it over virtual miles of track. Additional children’s events at the museum include puppet storytelling using vintage subway cars, transit tots, and an upcoming Hocus Pocus Night in honor of Halloween.
