A couple, on the Upper East Side, needs to hire a part-time Housekeeper. Responsibilities include housekeeping, laundry & ironing, daily organization, errands, coordinating with vendors and the building superintendent, occasional light cooking, and assisting with their beloved dog. All candidates must love dogs! Someone who can also provide light administrative support, such as booking travel, would be a plus, with the potential for the position to develop into a Housekeeper/Family Assistant-type role. The couple welcomes candidates with less extensive private household experience, including those transitioning from another industry, provided they are dependable, attentive, and eager to learn. The incoming hire will receive several weeks to approximately one month of training alongside the couple’s long-time, experienced, retiring housekeeper. The schedule is Monday through Friday, four hours per day, with a salary of $1,000 per week for 20 guaranteed hours. This is a live-out position, though a private bedroom with a shared bathroom can be provided for someone who prefers to live in. Flexibility to accompany the couple to their secondary home (out of state) during summer months and for part of the winter season would be an incredible plus but is, by no means, required.
