A couple in Stamford is seeking a warm, dependable, and highly trustworthy Companion and Assistant to provide thoughtful day-to-day support within their home. This is a hands-on position combining companionship and personal assistance with light household responsibilities, errands, transportation, and general support of the principals’ daily needs. Responsibilities include: assisting with daily routines and personal care as needed, including dressing and bathing, light household upkeep and organization, family laundry, preparing simple meals, household and personal errands, such as grocery shopping, driving the principals to regular appointments, light administrative assistance and handling special tasks as they arise. Candidates should be physically capable of providing steadying assistance or light mobility support when needed. The ideal candidate will be kind, patient, discreet, and attentive, while also understanding the importance of maintaining appropriate boundaries and allowing the principals as much independence and privacy as possible. The family is hoping to find someone who will become a reliable, long-term presence in the household and who takes their own health and wellness seriously. Local candidates with a reliable, easy commute are strongly preferred, ideally within approximately 20 miles of Stamford. Schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 5:30/6pm. Salary range: $40–$55/hour. Immediate start.
