A family of four, in Greenpoint, needs to hire an engaging Part-Time Nanny or Nanny/Cook (ideally) to support their two children, a toddler and an early elementary-aged child. Responsibilities include: providing primary care for the younger child, including after-school care, engaging the child in play and activities, outings, playdates, and maintaining an age-appropriate daily routine, offering light support for the older child as needed, handling child-related laundry; keeping the children’s spaces organized, tidying up after daily activities and meals, helping maintain the general order of the home alongside the family’s part-time housekeeper and, ideally, preparing simple, healthy family meals, though the family is equally open to an excellent Nanny who prefers to prepare meals for the children only. Both parents work a hybrid schedule and may occasionally be working from home. While a driver’s license is not required, comfort riding an e-bike would be a nice plus. There are no pets in the home and no travel is required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 11am or 12pm to 6pm with very occasional (likely 2-3X a year) late night coverage.
