Working parents, in NoMad, need to hire an engaging part-time Nanny to care for their two elementary and middle school-aged children. Responsibilities include: school pick-ups, accompanying the children to activities, sports, and lessons, assisting with homework, preparing healthy and balanced dinners for the children, and helping to keep their belongings and common areas neat and organized. The family employs a housekeeper, so no heavy cleaning is required; however, the Nanny should be proactive about tidying up after the children and helping maintain an organized household. The ideal candidate will be energetic, educated, city-savvy, and confident taking the lead throughout the afternoon and evening. A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, and additional higher education is a plus. Candidates should be comfortable working in a home with a small dog and navigating Manhattan independently via public transportation, taxis, or rideshare. Driving is a plus, and the family has a vehicle available for use if desired. Flexibility for occasional overnights when the parents are traveling would be a significant plus, and occasional travel opportunities may also be available, although travel is not required. The children attend the same Mandarin immersion school in Manhattan and share a majority of their extracurriculars. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 3 to 8pm with the ability to ideally spend occasional over nights should parents be traveling. Salary range: $45–55/hr. Immediate start!
