An active family of five, in Washington, D.C.,  needs to hire  an experienced, energetic Manny/Nanny to care for their three children, with a particular focus on keeping the children engaged and active and helping the oldest child prepare for kindergarten. The family currently has a nanny who also manages housekeeping responsibilities, and they are looking to add someone whose primary focus is childcare, enrichment, and development. Responsibilities include: working alongside the family’s Nanny, this candidate will assist with daily routines, coordinate schedules, drive the children to activities, organize and encourage outdoor and physical activity and provide educational encouragement and academic support.  The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, athletic, engaging, and highly team-oriented, with excellent communication skills and experience working with children in a busy household. Former high school or college athletes are strongly encouraged to apply, though candidates with coaching, mentoring, teaching, camp, or youth-development backgrounds will also be considered. Flexibility to spend nights on occasion especially when parents traveling is needed. Travel to travel to Westchester and Manhattan for much of the summer is required and the candidate will work on a rotating schedule during that time. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00–7:00 PM, Friday from 10:00 AM–7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM–8:00 PM, approximately 43 hours per week. Salary range: $35–$45 per hour.
