A Manhattan family of three needs to hire a highly experienced Lead ROTA Nanny / Governess to provide attentive, developmentally focused care for their toddler. Responsibilities will center around providing exceptional care for the family’s toddler while taking a thoughtful, educational, and developmentally informed approach to each day. The ideal candidate will create enriching daily routines, plan age-appropriate activities and outings, accompany the child to local classes, arrange playdates, introduce educational concepts through play, monitor developmental milestones, and support the child’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development. Additional responsibilities include: preparing meals for the child and handling child-related upkeep and laundry. This individual should also understand the discretion, professionalism, flexibility, and exceptionally high standards required when working within a formal private household and be comfortable collaborating with parents and other household staff. The family is seeking a top-tier career nanny with a minimum of 10-15 years of professional childcare experience, including experience working for HNW/UHNW private households in New York City. A bachelor’s and/or master’s degree is strongly preferred, particularly in a related field (i.e., child development, child psychology, elementary education, or early childhood education). Prior teaching experience would be a significant plus. Travel with the family will be required, so candidates must have a valid passport and be comfortable traveling domestically and internationally. A valid driver’s license, strong swimming ability, and current CPR and First Aid certifications are also required. The schedule is seven days on/seven days off, approximately 9:30am to 7pm. This is a live-out position and candidates must already be established in the NYC area. The salary is $140-160K+, depending on experience, plus a health insurance contribution. Immediate start.
