A busy bi-coastal couple is seeking a top-notch, career, Nanny/ Governess to manage the care of their infant, as they grow in to a toddler and beyond! All responsibilities are childcare related. The family’s ideal applicant will be experienced, educated, poised, developmentally savvy, flexible, emotionally intelligent, and multilingual. Nanny will be responsible for planning activities (including researching & booking local classes), engaging in age-appropriate play, monitoring milestones, diapering, bathing, bottle-feeding, sterilizing bottles & toys, maintaining sleep & feeding schedules, and traveling with the family, primarily between their main residences in South Florida (Miami-Dade County) and Los Angeles, CA. Other regular annual travel includes 3-6 weeks of the summer in Europe (this year will be heavy time in Malta) 1 week in St Barts and end of year holiday ski vacations among others. They also have a home in NYC and hope to spend more time there throughout the year as well. Applicants must have experience caring for infants and helping them transition through their developmental stages as they age (transitioning to solids, toilet training, etc.). Applicants should also have experience caring for toddlers, and growing children as the family is hoping to find a person to add to their adventurous and contemporary family and staff long-term. Candidates must swim, drive, and have a valid passport. The family also requires that CDC vaccines other than Covid (as optional) be up to date. This is a fully staffed home and the Nanny/ Governess must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with others, while also taking the lead with childcare at all times. There is a small dog in the home, though no care is required. The family would like someone who resides in the Miami-Dade area or who is willing to relocate there. The standardized schedule is either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday from 10am to 8pm with flexibility for additional time. Salary is in the 100-130K range, depending on experience, plus it will include fully paid benefits (health, dental, vision) and a vesting/match on a 401K plan.
