A family of four, in Larchmont, needs to hire a full-time Private Chef. The primary focus will be preparing family style dinners with meal prep for easy breakfasts, lunches, and snacks the family can access at their leisure. Majority of the diet is Mediterranean/ California-style with a focus on health-forward cuisine and seasonal produce. Typical responsibilities include: menu planning, grocery shopping, preparing dinner and prep for health light lunch and breakfast items, post meal clean up, maintaining & organizing the kitchen/ pantry/ fridge, and ensuring necessary items stay well stocked. There is a tree nut allergy in the home; however, these items are consumed in moderation, as prescribed by a doctor as a treatment. Ideal candidates will have a proven career in private homes and/or restaurants with a strong background in healthy, ingredient-driven, cooking. Must be family and dog friendly! The family entertains very occasionally, usually hosting other couples. Schedule is Monday to Friday and relaxed family-style dinner is served between 6:30 and 7:30pm. Family is flexible if chef would like to come in early to do shopping and light prep and return later to prepare dinner and clean-up – 40 hours guaranteed. Salary range: $500-800/day with possible health insurance contribution. Immediate start.
