A family of six, on Cape Cod, needs to hire an energetic live-in Nanny/Family Assistant to ensure their home is running smoothly. Family Assistant responsibilities include: running errands, household/grocery shopping, driving the children home from school/appointments/sports, assisting with administrative tasks, travel planning, child-related laundry & housekeeping, helping to keep the home organized, preparing school lunches and meals for the children. More traditional Nanny responsibilities include:  engaging with all four children with age appropriate activities (everything from arts and crafts/trampoline jumping with the youngest to being a supportive listener to the teenagers).  Family offers a private apartment as seasonal housing about 20 minutes from the family home, available 42 weeks of the year with 10 paid weeks off in the summer, when this apartment will not be available. Typical schedule is Monday to Friday from 11am to 7pm with flexibility needed. Nanny must be comfortable traveling with the family and also staying with the children if the parents are both traveling.  Both parents work and are looking for a responsible, yet fun, third adult. Experience with large busy families. Needs to be a proactive self-starter with a can-do attitude that is able to operate independently of the parents while still keeping the parents well-informed about the children.  Must swim and drive. Family also employs a Housekeeper who comes 3x a week.  Salary: $40 hr. with potential for bonus. Immediate start.
