Position: Full Time, Live Out, Nanny
Location: Manhattan, New York

A family of four, on the Upper East Side, needs to hire a Full-Time, Live-out Nanny to care for two school-aged children, one with special needs. Responsibilities include: engaging the children in age appropriate educational activities, teaching social/sibling play, designing age-level appropriate curriculum/lesson plans for the child with special needs including keeping an accurate daily/weekly summary of their learning progress, working closely with the parents, teachers and specialty area therapists on attainable goals, and providing school tutoring/homework help across various subjects. Additional household duties include:  tidying up the children’s rooms and bathrooms, assisting with meal prep, helping transport the children to school and activities, assisting with errands, and care for the family’s two pets.

Candidates must have a strong background in special needs and/or therapy, must be CPR/First Aid Certified, swim, and be able to travel with the family one week every year. Applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Ed or have taken Special Ed courses are highly preferred. The schedule is:  Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 2pm-8pm, Tuesday and Fridays from 12pm-8pm and Saturday or Sunday from 8am-2pm. Salary range: $50-60/hour and $75-90/hour for the weekends. A monthly health insurance stipend is also offered. January 2024 start!
