The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in newborn care and be highly skilled in establishing healthy sleep routines, with the ultimate goal of helping the baby sleep through the night at the appropriate developmental stage. Responsibilities include: all standard nursery duties, feeding, diapering, bathing, dressing, bottle cleaning, and general newborn care. Additional tasks involve managing the baby’s laundry and wardrobe, as well as providing an extra set of hands to support the parents. The candidate must be comfortable working in a home with a large, well-behaved dog (no pet-related responsibilities required). The schedule is from 6:30 PM to 10:30 AM. A family of five, with homes in the West Village and in Puerto Rico, needs to hire an engaging NYC-based Spanish speaking Nanny/Household Assistant, who will assist in the care for the three children (all toddlers) and work as an extra pair of hands in a home with two hands-on parents. Responsibilities include: engaging the children in educational, age-appropriate play, preparing meals for the children, child-related housekeeping & laundry, assisting with some household errands, family laundry, and light cooking. Come fall, the two eldest will be in school and primary care will be for the youngest. Private bed and bath when living in. Spanish is spoken in the home and is a key requirement for this role. Applicants should also feel comfortable in water and be ok working in a home with a very small dog. Licensed drivers are a plus but not required. The Nanny/ Household/Assistant must live out when in NYC but also be able to spend 10 months between 2025 and 2026 living in at the family’s 2nd home in Puerto Rico. Family requires weekday coverage, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm but would ideally also want Saturday assistance as well. Salary range: $1,500-2,000 a week. Early to mid-June start.

This is the family’s secondary residence and they have full time staff who handle the majority of the full-time care and upkeep. All applicants must have a valid driver’s license.
