A family of five, in Ridgefield, CT, needs to hire a full-time Housekeeper to join their team. Primary responsibilities include: deep cleaning, and daily maintenance of the main residence and two additional buildings on the property. The Housekeeper will be responsible for the proper care and treatment of all household surfaces (including wood, glass, and stone), preparing the home for the arrival of principals and guests, regular organization and daily upkeep, family laundry, ironing, and the care of fine linens. Additional duties include: assisting with special projects as they arise and helping care for a friendly, medium-sized dog. This role requires someone who works well within a team environment, as the Housekeeper will collaborate with and help oversee another housekeeper on staff. The ideal candidate will operate at an executive level and have extensive experience working in formal households alongside other staff. The principals reside in other homes for a portion of the year, so responsibilities will fluctuate depending on their schedule. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4/4:30pm, with occasional flexibility required. The starting salary is $40/hour with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek regardless of schedule fluctuations. Excellent benefits are offered. Immediate start.
