A Manhattan family of (soon to be!) four, in Midtown Manhattan, needs to hire a full-time live-in Nanny to assist in the care of their toddler and, when the time comes, their new baby. Responsibilities include:  monitoring and supporting developmental milestones, engaging the children in fun, age-appropriate play and activities (outings, classes, etc.), handling child-related housekeeping and laundry, assisting with bedtime and bath time routines, preparing children’s meals (including bottle feeding), facilitating toilet training and other milestones as they arise, and traveling with the family. The family employs a baby nurse, who will provide care for the new baby for at least a few months, so this role will initially focus on the toddler. The Mom works from home and is hands-on, so the new nanny should be able to partner with her in childcare. The family hopes to employ someone for many years to come, ideally with a commitment of at least 3-4 years. All applicants must have a valid passport, as the family travels to Europe about four months per year. The nanny should be comfortable in the water and be up to date on basic vaccinations (MMR, TDAP, Flu). The right fit will be a true career nanny with at least 10-15 years of experience—someone nurturing, with a good sense of professional boundaries, and who is active enough to keep up with a very energetic, newly walking toddler. The family would ideally prefer someone who can work a Monday-to-Saturday schedule, but understands that most nannies may prefer Monday-to-Friday, which is acceptable as long as there is flexibility for additional coverage. The typical schedule is from 8 AM to 8 PM. The salary is $30-40 per hour, depending on experience, with a  possible health insurance contribution.  February 2026 start.
