A family, in East Hampton, needs to hire an experienced, formally trained, and child-friendly Housekeeper/Laundress to join their household. Responsibilities include: meticulous cleaning and care for high-end furnishings, laundry, including washing, ironing, and steaming. Additional responsibilities include: assisting with food preparation and preparing occasional simple family meals. The role also involves managing the household, including maintaining inventory, overseeing service providers, and running errands. Occasionally, the housekeeper will be asked to provide care for a toddler. Seeking a well-organized individual who can work independently, with a proven track record of experience in fine, formal homes. The candidate must be able to drive and have their own vehicle. During the summer months, the schedule is typically from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, six days a week, with one day off during the week. When the family is not in residence, the schedule will shift to weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekends off. Flexibility is essential for this role. Salary range: $40–$50 per hour, with the possibility of health insurance or a monthly stipend after a probationary period. The position is expected to begin in May 2025.
