Nanny/ Family Assistant, Full time, live-out or live in

Upper East Side and Hamptons (summers)

 

A family of five, on the Upper East Side, needs to hire a live-out or live in Nanny/ Family Assistant to help care for their three, school-age, children. Responsibilities include: school pick up, managing the children’s schedules, coordinating & chaperoning the children to/ from activities, creating fun developmental savvy games & activities, homework help, preparing dinner, assisting with the bedtime routine, child-related housekeeping & laundry, seasonal closet organization, helping to keep the home tidy, household organization, shopping, tracking inventory, supervising vendors, and running errands. Candidates must drive and swim, and keep up with active children. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 11am to 6pm, though the family will guarantee base pay for a 40-hour workweek. Flexibility for longer days is required if children are home from school, including summers & travel. The family can accommodate live in or live out candidates and can provide 7-day accommodations- private bed and bath. Ideally seeking an early September start, to have some overlap with the current nanny, who is leaving to start a family. Salary: $35/hr.
