A D.C. area family of five needs to hire a Nanny/ House Manager to care for their three children  (elementary through high school age) and to assist in ensuring their home runs smoothly.  Responsibilities include: maintaining family & household calendars, transporting the children to/ from school & activities/ sports, homework assistance, making sure that the children stay on task & schedule, staying overnight if the parents are away, snacks & meals (for the children but parents would be a plus!), running household errands & handling household ordering, organization & light upkeep or laundry (family has a cleaning service), scheduling appointments for children (i.e. doctors) & for household-related needs (i.e. car maintenance, vendors), pet care (must love dogs!), and any ad hoc tasks that may arise. The Nanny/ Household Manager must be highly organized, intelligent, able to multi-task, jump in to wear different hats and assist with multiple facets of the household. They must have their own reliable vehicle with a clean driving record- the family will cover any work-related expenses regarding transportation. Schedule is Monday to Friday. During the school year, the work day usually starts around 7:30am, with a break during the day, and can end around 7:30pm, with sports practices sometimes going later so flexibility is needed. Summers, schedule is 8am to 6pm. Salary range: 80-90K, with full corporate benefits.  Immediate start.
