This is a nanny and former elementary school teacher with 10+ years of childcare experience. She holds a Master’s in Inclusive Education, as well as Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Art. She is CPR and First Aid certified and also has a valid driver’s license as well as a U.S. passport. She is passionate about early childhood education and childcare and hopes to use this passion to provide top-notch care and assistance to another wonderful family that she would love to grow with. Over a year ago, I was speaking with one of her references and could hear one of the children in the background excitedly asking if they could speak with me about her. This reference raved about her and told me she has known her for years and could vouch for her on both a personal and professional level. She described her as both “creative” and “upbeat.” The family has four children and told me that she was very good at getting to know each child and working with different characters and said that she understands what younger children require as their minds are developing. She also mentioned that she was very good at helping to “keep her sane.” She is an avid yogi, baker (and cookie decorator), loves to spend time outdoors and go kayaking, and enjoys arts and crafts. We originally met a year ago and spoke for over an hour but since then have kept in regular contact- I did place her in her most recent long-term position. She is a genuinely sweet person who is clearly passionate about the wellbeing of children and she really wants to find a family to assist for the long term. She is totally flexible to live-in temporarily during COVID, which she is taking very seriously.
