Kate Nye, Senior Placement Specialist
Kate joined the Nanny Authority and Pavillion Agency team in 2018, after a recent move back to New York and working as a personal assistant to a Forbes 400 family member. As of 2022, she became one of the agency’s Senior Placement Specialists. Kate received her Master’s in Elementary Education and subsequently taught children at-risk and with special needs in Colorado. Having worked as an educator, Kate holds a greater appreciation for the emotional needs of young children, which she believes will only benefit her in this role, as she understands how a child’s home-life experience shapes them.
Kate grew up in Manhattan and Colorado and has remained in close contact with many of her own nannies over the years, whom were placed through Pavillion Agency and The Nanny Authority. She sees this position as a return to a place that has given her a lot over the years. Kate very much understands the need for good childcare and finding placements that can build strong bonds and work as team members with families. She recognizes the importance of solid relationships and is dedicated to working on finding nannies who will be a great addition to any home.
In addition to her Master’s, Kate also holds a BA in English and Film Studies from The Colorado College. She spent most of her childhood growing up in Colorado and is an avid skier. She has also spent time in Florida and Texas. Kate lives in NYC with her partner, Tony, and dog, Charlie, and enjoys being with her family and friends, cooking, the outdoors, loves a good adventure, and tries to experience as much as she can in this big city she has known all her life.
